Writers Block

Someone asked me recently if I have to deal with writer's block. I struggled to find a single thing to say to that. Just kidding!

For me, I don’t know if it's writers block because I certainly have a ton of ideas for future books, spin-offs and prequels. What happens to me is more like writing weariness. This happens after multiple revisions and read-throughs as I try to fine-tune the story.

Currently, I’m in a sort of ‘between place’ in that book two is being read for errors and content, so I’m on pause until I get the feedback. Book three is sitting here in draft stage, needing another major edit, and my brain…wants to take a nap. (head crash to the keyboard.)

The good news is that book two is so good! At least I think so. Finding You set the foundation for things to come while leaving the reader wondering about Ryan. Finding Him will reward the reader when Emma and Ryan finally get together but discover their new reality may not be that easy. Then of course I hinted to a possible connection with Jak and Frankie in Fining You…will Frankie find him?

The fun thing about writing for me is that while I have ideas for characters, I actually never know who is going to show up when I start writing. That makes writing just as fun for me as reading, and that can turn my brain to mush because I get obsessed with all the things!!

UGH!
